History
In 1789, Beaumont-en-Gâtinais was part of the electorate of Nemours and the generality of Paris, governed by the custom of Lorris-Montargis. The parish church, under the diocese of Sens and the deanery of Gâtinais, was dedicated to Saint Bartholomew, with the Archbishop of Sens as its patron.
