Established in 1957, it now has major campuses in Fontainebleau (France), Singapore, Abu Dhabi (UAE), and a hub in San Francisco. Additionally, INSEAD offers numerous executive education courses, both open and custom, engaging over 10,000 participants from 3,800 companies annually.

Alumni Network

INSEAD’s alumni network is extensive, with over 67,000 alumni across 179 countries, representing 169 nationalities. Many alumni are top executives, founders, and influential leaders in a range of industries. Notable alumni include business leaders like André Hoffmann (Vice Chairman of Roche) and public figures such as Wopke Hoekstra (EU Commissioner for Climate Action).

History and Legacy

Founded by Georges Doriot, a French-American venture capitalist, INSEAD began with a mission to foster cross-cultural business education in post-war Europe. The first class commenced in 1959 in Fontainebleau, France. INSEAD expanded globally, opening its Singapore campus in 2000, Abu Dhabi campus in 2007, and establishing a presence in San Francisco in 2020.

Collaborations and Partnerships

INSEAD collaborates with leading global institutions like the Wharton School (USA), Tsinghua University (China), and Sorbonne University (France). These alliances foster exchange programs, joint research, and dual-degree opportunities. INSEAD is also a member of the Global Network for Advanced Management, led by Yale School of Management, to support interconnected global business education.

Commitment to Research and Impact

The faculty at INSEAD, comprising 162 professors from 42 nationalities, actively contribute to research that addresses complex global issues, including climate change. Through initiatives like the Business Schools for Climate Leadership (BS4CL), INSEAD and other leading schools are committed to sustainable business practices.
