Playgrounds
The Fontainebleau region offers a variety of playgrounds (aires de jeux) that are great for children to exercise, have fun, and socialize—and, in some cases, for adults to join in too. This list is not exhaustive; if you know of any others, please contact us on social media.

Avon
Bel Ebat
A charming playground located at the top of the hill with convenient parking available at the base. Good for picnics or just a wander with a small spring running down the hill.
Parc fitness Val du Moulin
A spacious park featuring a skateboard area, fitness track, walking paths, open fields, and a fenced playground. There’s ample parking available.
Bagneaux-sur-Loing

Beside the sports fields and tennis club.
Barbizon
Barbizon Loisirs Sports
A large pirate-themed playground with a fun pirate ship for kids. You’ll find it between the tennis courts and the cemetery, with parking available across the street. There are entrances through a gate near the recycling bins and another at the tennis club (often left unlocked).
Bois le Roi
Ile de Loisirs de Bois-le-Roi
Located at the southern end of Bois-le-Roi, this expansive park includes open fields, a sandy swimming beach, a skate park, and various climbing structures. It’s perfect for flying kites, and at the center, there’s a large playground.
Bourron Marlotte
Gymnase André Poirier
Adjacent to the André Poirier Gymnasium and close to the forest, this shaded playground has sand pits, slides, and a small play train. With picnic tables available, it’s a great spot for family outings. The nearby forest also has small climbing boulders for children. In winter, the area receives more sunlight as the leaves fall. Additional amenities include pétanque courts, an exercise trail, bike paths, and ample parking in a quiet, low-traffic area.
Skateboard Park
This smaller playground sits between the Skateboard Park and a school. It’s ideally positioned for supervising older children and is near a large field where kids can kick a ball around. Across the field are the fire and ambulance stations.

Tucked away behind the town hall and church lies a little playground with good parking.
Darvault
Marie de Darvault
A small playground opposite the town hall (Mairie) in Darvault. It’s quiet, well-maintained, has convenient parking, and includes restroom facilities.
Épisy
Mairie d'Épisy
Beside the Épisy council and behind the church is a nice little playground and grassy area with parking right beside it.
Fontainebleau
Playground in the Chateau Fontainebleau
A lovely fenced playground with swings, slides, and a viking ship, making it a great spot for children to play and meet others before exploring the surrounding park.
Playground in the main square
This playground is located behind Église Saint-Louis de Fontainebleau, in the main square. It’s a popular spot with locals, especially for new parents looking to connect. Convenient underground parking is available nearby, though it can be crowded on market days.
Playground Lilas
A newer playground with ample parking, shaded areas, and good facilities, including slides, swings, basketball courts, and table tennis tables.
Square Joséphine
This cozy playground, near the main square and across from a bicycle shop, is fully walled and includes swings, slides, trampolines, and rocking toys. It’s popular around lunchtime, and the best parking option is in the underground lot of the main square.
La Genevraye
Playground below church
Playground and basketball court located below the church. The best parking is next to the war memorial, directly across from the mairie.
Moncourt Fromonville
Bus stop playground
Fenced playground located behind the bus stop. Limited parking available.
Marie de Moncourt Fromonville
An excellent fenced playground with a large adjoining field and a scenic path along the Canal du Loing. It has convenient parking, restrooms, and easy access to a nearby bakery and other shops.
Montigny sur Loing
Bibliothèque Municipale
Tucked away on the downhill side of the Bibliothèque Municipale in Montigny sue Loing is a cute little playground.
Nemours
La SCALA playground
Located next to a community center in a residential area of Nemours, this modern playground offers convenient parking.
Salle des fêtes de Nemours
This large, tucked-away playground is located near the town hall’s event hall. It’s a quiet area with plenty of parking and often less crowded.
Nonville
Mairie playground
If you ever find yourself passing through Nonville, this charming little spot is the perfect rest stop for the tiniest travelers.

A charming little playground hidden at the back of Recloses.
Saint-Pierre-lès-Nemours
L’îlot De Fraîcheur
Small playground beside the cultural center and near to shops and a bakery.
Marie de Saint-Pierre-lès-Nemours
This park has ample parking, a well-kept playground, and exercise equipment for adults. It’s a pleasant place to meet others, play, and explore the Parc des Rochers Gréau across the road, or simply take in the views.
Thomery
Jardin Salomon
Newly refurbished, this playground is large and varied with slides, balance beams, swings and bars. Parking can usually be found in the church car park opposite.
Parc des Insectes
A hidden gem nestled between the forest and a theater. The playground has slides, climbing frames, picnic tables, and a small gated area for gatherings. Parking can be limited, as the lot only holds two cars.
Ury
Playground in Ury
Ury's park offers two playgrounds, one of which is designed for older children, located on the northwest side of the soccer field. A peaceful spot, especially in spring when the trees are in bloom.
Villecerf
Villiers-sous-Grez
Stade de football
While not a traditional playground, the Stade de Football provides plenty of activities for children. Highlights include open fields, a picnic area, a climbing rock, a basketball court, and a scenic walk up the hill to the Grotte du Curé.
